About

OEN is the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state of Oregon. OEN fosters the flow of entrepreneurial ideas, services, and capital to entrepreneurs and helps connect emerging Northwest businesses to growth-stimulating expertise and valuable resources.

“OEN connects startups with expert service providers”

OEN's members contribute to the growth and development of a healthy, diversified Oregon economy with a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders.

OEN's Mission is to provide support activities and mentoring to the entrepreneurial community to foster business growth and employment opportunities in Oregon.

OEN History

OEN was originally formed in 1991 as the Oregon Enterprise Forum, one of more than 20 worldwide chapters of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Enterprise Forum. In 1997, the organization merged with the Oregon Young Entrepreneurs Association (OYEA) and formed the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum, the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state of Oregon.

In 2007 Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum (OEF) changed its name to Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) to reflect that what makes the organization special is the network of people who are involved With a membership comprised of entrepreneurs and Northwest business professionals and investors, we are developing programs and services that will extend our network throughout Oregon.

People-Oriented Philosophy

The success of any organization depends on its people. People make business work. From the entrepreneurs who bring creativity and passion to everything they do, and the serial entrepreneurs who offer their mentorship, to the investment community who provides the critical capital, it's the collaboration of people which creates such a thriving network.

OEN can be thought of as an "entrepreneurial tribe," united by the spirit of creating something new and better in business.

In a traditional tribe, elders serve as mentors to younger members by passing on knowledge and wisdom from their experiences. Younger members invigorate the tribe with their fiery passion and aspirations. In OEN, members help other members build successful, economy-stimulating Northwest businesses.

Please continue to personally connect with OEN, and we'll continue to personally connect with you.
